Let me just start by saying that I’m excited to share this article with you today.  Success in network marketing comes from a combination of several things.  However, there is one key element that you need to have in your business before anything else.  Without it, you are guaranteed to fail in this industry.  This is something that isn’t discussed (well it is, but not as much as it should be.

Success In Network Marketing

When it comes to achieving success in network marketing, there are several things (tools, training, skills) that you need to have in place in your business.  But before all the websites, marketing, prospecting, etc… there is one crucial element that you need, and that’s your “Why”.

Now before you say “I’ve heard this before, I already know this.”, you haven’t heard it like I’m going to explain it.  Why are you here?  Why are in this industry?  Why do you want to work from home, be your own boss, etc…  The answer to this question will make or break your success in network marketing.  However, most people get this answer wrong, even though they think they know.

What do I mean?  Let me explain…

What's Your "Why"?

When you first get into the industry, most of us are taught to dream big, dream about having that big house or having expensive cars, or taking luxury vacations, etc…  So naturally, that’s what most of us do.  A lot of people say there “why” is to be wealthy.  Having money is great, but I’m going to tell you that if that’s your “why”, you’ll never see any success in network marketing.

To be successful in this industry, you need to be willing to take massive action, work hard, stay committed and dedicated, and have the willingness to do whatever it takes to be successful in network marketing.  If you don’t have a strong motivating reason “Why” you are here, you won’t survive.  There are going to be ups and downs when you get started in this industry and if you don’t have a strong motivating reason to push through, you won’t.

When I first started in this industry, I did what I was taught.  I made dream boards with fancy cars and big houses.  I dreamed of being wealthy.  But I still found myself lacking the motivation I need to push through and work hard.  One day I was hanging out with my family before Christmas when my daughter said to me “I know we don’t really have money, so don’t worry about getting me any Christmas presents.  I don’t need anything.”  I can’t explain how I felt.

Now she was 10 at the time so she didn’t belive in Santa anymore.  Needless to say, I felt horrible.  But that’s when I realized something… I’m not a flashy person.  I don’t care about material things.  I care about my family.  Having a big house and nice cars would be great, but that wasn’t my “why”.  I realized that my “why” was my family.

I want to give my family the best of the best, no matter what.  I would do anything to provide the best life possible for my family.  Once I figured out my true “why”, I can’t explain to you what a difference it has made in my business.  I am more motivated than ever and I work harder than most people in this industry.  And it’s because of this that I am finally seeing success in network marketing.

I truly believe that this is the biggest secret to success in network marketing.  It’s something that is rarely talked about, but is the most important element of any one’s success.  So take a minute and think about why you are truly here.  Don’t just say you are here to “make money”, or to “be rich”.

It needs to be something deeper than that.  There has to be a meaningful reason that you are here in this industry.  One thing I can absolutely guarantee you is this..

If you dig deep and find your true “why”, you will find yourself more motivated, more committed, and more determined than you ever have been before to achieve success in network marketing.  And you know what… You will absolutely achieve all the success you desire.

Personal development is key for developing the proper mindset.  This will help you understand “why” you are starting an MLM / Network Marketing business, it will help you understand “what” you want to get out of your business, and it will ultimately help you stay committed, stay on track and being determined to doing whatever it takes to be successful.  You have to see yourself as a successful person and believe that you can be successful before you ever will.

Now, your primary company will certainly offer some basic training and maybe some tools, but it will most likely be outdated and non-effective.  In today’s highly competitive industry, it is an absolute must that you learn how to leverage the power of the Internet to build your business.  Network marketing has changed and unless you change with it, you will be left behind.  Marketing and building your business online isn’t difficult, if you know what you’re doing.  The only way to know what you are doing is by having the right training.

You will also come to need various marketing tools & such on the way, so it’s best to have a training system that also provides you with all the tools you need to build your business online.

One of the most important factors in achieving network marketing success is creating duplication in your organization.  You can have the best tools & training teaching you how to generate tons of leads and sponsor tons of reps into your business, but if you don’t help your team be successful, you won’t be either.

The big question here is “How?”.  How do you help your team duplicate you and achieve network marketing success as well?  The answer is actually quite simple… Train them and teach them everything you’ve learned.  Here’s the thing, if you are spending all your time training your team, you won’t be able to work on building your business.

The best thing to do is to plug your team into the same tools & training you are using so they can learn and you can still build your business.  One cool thing you could do is hold a webinar or a conference call once a week for your team.  Make it a Q & A call where your team members can hop on and ask questions that you will answer.

Like I said earlier, there are many different factors that play a role in your success.  However, I truly believe that you can achieve network marketing success much faster if you implement these tips into your business.
