You need to brand yourself first. Really, you are marketing yourself. You want people to join you because they feel they can benefit from working with you. In most cases, they don’t care a whole lot about the actual opportunity itself, but whether or not you can help them be successful. If they don’t see you as a leader and as someone who can help them be successful, they will go find someone else to join.
What you want to do is lead with value. You basically want to learn and share. The more you learn, the more you have to offer your prospects. Learn marketing strategies, prospecting tips, personal development, whatever… When you are putting yourself out there, the more value you put into the marketplace, the better chances you have of generating more leads & sign-ups. This is absolutely crucial if you want to be more successful with your network marketing lead generation.
Network Marketing Lead Generation Tip 2 – Your Target Market
Once you understand the concept of attraction marketing / personal branding, the next thing you need to focus on is who your target market is. Typically we are taught to make a warm list of friends and family, pass out flyers, cold call, and this is all wrong. Why? Because it doesn’t make sense to try and talk to someone about a business opportunity when they aren’t interested.
You ONLY want to talk to people that are already interested in network marketing, working from home, etc… There are millions of people in the network marketing industry. And guess what, 97% of them are failing. However, all of those people are already interested in network marketing / working from home. They just don’t have anyone to help them be successful. So if you are targeting people who are already interested (hint: other network marketers) then you don’t have to try and convince them about your business. They already get it!
Other network marketers are already sold on network marketing / working from home. There problem is that they don’t know how to be successful in their business. Now, if you can approach them as a leader, someone who can help them succeed, they will auto-maticaly be attracted to you. So make sure you are targeting the right people with your marketing efforts.
Network Marketing Lead Generation Tip 3 – The Power And Leverage Of The Internet
If you are not marketing your business online, you are leaving a lot of money on the table. When it comes to successful network marketing lead generation, leveraging the power of the Internet is crucial, especially in this new “information age”. Now a days, EVERYONE is online. This provides a huge opportunity for you to get yourself in front of the masses, much faster than you ever could marketing offline.
There are many forms of marketing online, such as blogging, article marketing, video marketing, social media marketing, online classifieds, and the list goes on. The old school methods of cold calling, chasing friends and family, and passing out flyers don’t really work anymore, or maybe to a certain extent. Learning how to market your business online is an absolute must.
